The Northeast Ohio Green Energy Expo to be Held August 16 in Akron

The Northeast Ohio Green Energy Expo will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the John S. Knight Center, 77 North High Street, Akron, Ohio.  Admission is free.
   
The expo is focused around energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Hear from an keynote speaker, attend numerous consumer-oriented presentations, get information on opportunities in the green collar job industry, and interact with local and regional companies and organizations representing the clean energy sector. A variety of activities will be available for any interest level for those who are eager to learn more about renewable energy and energy efficiency`s crucial role in Ohio`s economic future.

The one-day event offers attendees the opportunity to interact with companies, organizations and speakers committed to mainstreaming clean energy in Ohio.  The event schedule includes:

  • 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Consumer Exhibits/Tradeshow
  • 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Keynote speaker and renowned climate expert, Dr. Lonnie Thompson
  • 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm  Consumer-oriented lecture tracks (Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Jobs/Training Programs and Sustainability).
