Arisdyne Systems, Inc. to donate the use of pilot scale system to aid in research to enhance ethanol yields

EDWARDSVILLE, IL and CLEVELAND, OH (June 23, 2011) – The National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) has agreed to license and support a Controlled Flow Cavitation (CFC) system from Arisdyne Systems, Inc. Arisdyne’s CFC system will be offered as an adjunct test feature of NCERC’s pilot scale ethanol test facility on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SUIE).

Arisdyne’s patented cavitation methods and devices were originally tested at NCERC in June and July of 2009 and early trials demonstrated ethanol yield improvements of 2-3% under low flow rate, 5 GPM, conditions. Since 2009, over five full-scale plants have installed and are testing CFC systems at flow rates of 600 -1800 GPM. These commercial tests have shown potential yield improvements of 3-5% using corn, milo, or a mix of both feedstocks.

“Arisdyne is extremely pleased that NCERC provided opportunities to advance ethanol’s position as a clean, alternative energy,” said Dr. Peter Reimers, president and CEO of Arisdyne. “We are most grateful to the many industry participants and to NCERC for the support they have provided in helping to verify the effectiveness of our technology in the laboratory and at full commercial scale. Further research involving the CFC system is expected to help the ethanol industry secure better margins, reduce energy consumption per gallon of fuel produced, and provide a pathway to hybrid production of ethanol from grain and other related fiber materials.”

“It’s small, it’s simple, it’s durable,” said John Caupert, managing director of NCERC. “That is what this industry needs. We are working on solutions that convert current starch-based ethanol plants into ‘Generation 1.5’ ethanol plants that convert not only starch but also cellulosic feedstock.”

Leading technologies like Arisdyne’s significantly reduces energy consumption, minimizes reliance on foreign-sourced oil, results in higher nutrition DDGS, and opens the doors for other related savings. With recent process enhancements, NCERC’s ethanol plant can get more ethanol from the same bushels of input grain.

ULTRA Low Impedance Technology Keeps Animals Safely Contained

STREETSBORO, OHIO (March 8, 2011) – Power Wizard electric fence energizers, known for their high quality and ultra low impedance, are specially designed for “real life” situations such as tall weeds that become a big problem in the spring months.

“During the spring, farmers and ranchers become more concerned with the condition of their fences because the weeds and grass grow so fast during March, April and May,” said James Falbo, VP of Engineering and Marketing at AgraTronix. “Without the right fence energizer, the weeds, tall grasses and branches can ground the electric fences and put animals at risk of getting loose.”

When the vegetation grows up and touches the fence, it provides paths that draw the energy off of the fence into the ground, which weakens the voltage charge on the fence.

“You might compare it to a water hose with a strong flow of water. If the hose gets a lot of holes in it, the water flow will turn to a trickle,” explained Falbo. “It’s similar with an electric fence. If there are weeds touching the fence, without the proper energizer, your shock becomes too weak to provide the psychological barrier the animals need to respect the fence.”

Because the Power Wizard fence energizers are designed to use ULTRA low impedance technology, they automatically adjust the electric signal, keeping it strong enough to contain the animals, even in difficult fence conditions. The special qualities of the ULTRA low impedance technology makes the Power Wizard perform well in the “real life” fencing situations where weeds grow under electric fences.

Darrel Franson of Lawrence County, Missouri, is a long-time store manager of a major U.S. farm store chain and familiar with all the leading brands of electric fencing. He is a life-long cattleman and has owned and used Power Wizard fence chargers to hold his cattle since 1998. “In the grazing business, it’s important to have enough power to turn cattle. Power Wizard is the only fence charger I know of, made by a US company, that effectively uses ULTRA Low Impedance circuitry,” said Franson. “I have found unit-for-unit the Power Wizard ULTRA Low Impedance fence charger holds cattle better and keeps the fence stronger. With Power Wizard’s Ultra Low Impedance, you can have a whole bunch of grass and still have power on the fence. It’s the best value on the market.”

Power Wizard brand is manufactured by AgraTronix, a company with a 36 year history and reputation of reliability and high product quality. They are also known for years of electric fence research, development and field experience which has led to their new ultra low impedance energizer technology. Power Wizard energizers come in a variety of sizes based on number of acres covered, joule rating, type of animal to be contained and the miles of wire for the fence.

ABOUT POWER WIZARD

Power Wizard is the top brand of fence energizers available today based on long lasting low impedance technology. Power Wizard has over 23 models of fencing energizers with retail prices that range from $25 to $380. Power Wizard energizers are designed to meet the varied needs from the cattle ranchers, dairy farmers, horse owners, to the small hobby farmer with sheep, goats or pigs and even specialty animal owner with alpacas or llamas.

Arisdyne Systems equipment achieves 4% plus yield improvement with comparatively low power consumption and small retrofit footprint

WINNEBAGO, MN and CLEVELAND, OH (June 10, 2010) — The Corn Plus Board of Directors voted to license and acquire Arisdyne’s patented cavitation system, which will enable the plant to increase ethanol production by 4% or more over the yield produced previously on the same volume of corn consumed. Cavitation’s intense power assists ethanol plants with converting higher percentages of available starch from a bushel of corn without making investments in new capital, consuming large amounts of power, or degrading process capacities.

Arisdyne and Corn Plus have been working together to install a retrofit system at the Winnebago plant, which conducted a test at full capacity over a period of two months without any interruption. “The cooperation and team work of this project enabled us to install and start up the system in a week,” noted Fred Clarke, Executive Vice President of Arisdyne. “During the two-month test, both the operations and lab teams were invaluable in monitoring and measuring data and sharing results all along the way.” Corn Plus has been a respected pioneer in adopting new technologies over the past decade, which led the Arisdyne team to seek their cooperation in this test initiative.

“We continuously scan the industry for new ideas to increase revenues, reduce costs, and improve capital efficiency – all with a view toward improved profitability and a lower carbon footprint of our fuels and its production,” commented Keith Kor, General Manager of Corn Plus. “Accessing greater starch has been a challenge that many have tried to solve. We have looked at or tried most technologies available today and are convinced that Arisdyne’s cavitation technology is the most efficient and cost effective means of exposing more starch through particle size reduction.”

“Seeking ways to improve efficiency and reduce production costs are critical challenges to corn-based ethanol producers,” explained Dr. Reimers, President and CEO of Arisdyne. “Since today’s plants cannot expand their capacities for economies of scale, yield improvements must be implemented to improve margins. Making more starch available for fermentation is the first step. The second step will be to simultaneously convert cellulose from corn fiber to ethanol. Accomplishing both steps concurrently with the same equipment demonstrates the advance fuel potential for current corn-based plants within the existing infrastructure.”

Corn Plus and Arisdyne will continue to explore alternative methods and configurations of production, in conjunction with their collaboration partners Critical Path Management (CPM) and IntegroServices as well as others, to introduce the system to the industry and further enhance the ethanol production potential.

About Corn Plus

Manufacturer of Polymer Seal Consolidates Ohio Facilities in Mantua

MANTUA, OH (June 22, 2009) – Mantaline Corporation, an employee owned company that designs and manufactures polymer based sealing products for the mid-volume segments of the transportation industry, is consolidating their Ohio facilities to one single location as part of their 2009 growth strategy. The company will be moving from their Aurora facility to their Mantua, Ohio headquarters.

“In the final analysis, our break-even scenario will be replaced by a highly sustainable and profitable footing,” said Tom Mlinar, Vice President of Business Development for Mantaline. “By the end of summer Mantaline will be in a stronger market position without the benefit of any increases from our existing portfolio or a lessening of the recession.”

The company has increased their capacity to grow the business without the need of incremental investment. “Our lean initiatives, started nearly eighteen months ago, are now beginning to pay back big dividends,” Mlinar explained.

A single facility will enable the company to optimize production costs, specifically overhead and indirect labor. Mantaline’s plan will permit the company to continue its award winning levels of customer service and keep processes intact without interruption, while accomplishing the consolidation. All relocated production equipment will be re-qualified to ensure there are no changes to the output quality of the products or disruption in the level of service.

Mantaline has contracted additional space in Mantua near its headquarters location to house some auxiliary operations and shipping. All essential extrusion and molding operations will now be under one roof, which will offer a big advantage in terms of process control and quality management.

Facility engineers have re-configured the Mantua facility to make the best use of the existing space. The consolidation creates the opportunity for further lean initiatives which will help minimize the effects of the ever-increasing raw material and purchased component costs. Mantaline’s new lean manufacturing operation achieves the levels of control essential for zero defects planning and execution. Mantaline’s customers will reap the benefits of shorter cycle times and Mantaline will be able to maintain profit margins and increase customer satisfaction.

Located in the heart of the polymer industry, Mantaline is a world-class leader known for its engineering competence, quality and precision in the Heavy Truck, Off-Road Vehicles, Rail, Automotives, Recreational Vehicles, and Marine markets. For more information, visit their website at www.mantaline.com, call (800) 321-0948, or email info@mantaline.com.
